How to work with Feather

To work with Feather

- Feathering a selection does not blur the pixels in the image. It blurs the edges of the selection marquee only. This is useful when you want to remove an object from a photo. Feathering helps a copied area blend with the surrounding pixels.

- Use the marquee to draw a rectangle:

- Choose edit>feather

- Then this will display the Feather dialog box:

- Type a value to set the feather radius, and click OK.

- Fill the color to the rectangle by using Paint Bucket

- The picture will be shown as below:

- You can compare the picture below without Feathering:
