- Welcome to Fireworks 3.0 step-by-step learning guide.

- To create a Web graphic in Fireworks, you must set up a new document or open a document.

- Choose File > New

- Or click on the New Button.

- After that New Document dialog box will be displayed:

- Enter the canvas width and height measurements in pixels, inches, or centimeters. Any graphic you have created must be able to fit inside the canvas.

- Enter a resolution in pixels per inch or pixels per centimeter.

- Choose white, transparent, or a custom color for the canvas.

- Click OK to open the new document and begin.
