- Grid is very helpful while you are drawing line or sorting the objects.

- Choose view>grid

- Styles in Fireworks are more like paint mixes on an artist's palette than styles in a word processor. When you apply a style to an object, that object takes on the style characteristics.

- We are going to apply Styles to the text below:

- Choose windows>styles to open the Styles dialog box.


- This is the Styles panel:

- Choose the favorites style and click on it. This will apply the selected style to the text:

To edit Strokes

- You can edit strokes to create paths with a range of possible pen or brush characteristics, from thin, pencil- like paths to wide swaths resembling spray paint or splattered oil. Stroke textures add to the range of creative possibilities.

- Select the Brush tool and click the strokes button to show the Strokes editor.

-Stroke dialog box will be opened:


- Choose Oil from the drop down box:


- You can spray it on the document. You will get the oil brush result:

- You can create your own colors and apply them to objects, add them to the Swatches panel, or use them to make a new swatch group.

- Choose window>color mixer


- This will display the Color Mixer dialog box:

- You can enter the value to the R,G and B boxes in order to get a new color.
